Our French Summer School finished last night. It was intense but so worthwhile, and we're so surprised / proud of how much we picked up. We can say the essentials - 'Je ne sais pas' (I don't know), 'Je ne comprendre pas' (I don't understand) and 'J'oublie' (I forget!). We can also make silly sentences like 'Nous aimons manger le chat bleu' (We like to eat the blue cat), and do much more useful things like introducing ourselves and talking about food, travel and our home.

Will also pulled out 'Ma femme, elle s'appelle Laura. Elle est tres jolie' (My wife, her name is Laura. She is very pretty!) in our speaking exam, which made the rest of the class smile and left me blushing :)
And if we suddenly throw our arms up in the air, exasperated, and let out a couple of strong French words, we're probably practicing our newly-acquired French swear words. I never swear in English, but what is it about saying something, anything, in French, that feels so sexy? Je ne sais pas!
