Break Even Day

Will and I have been together for 415 days. We've spent 207 of them on separate continents. Today marked Day 208 of being together in the same country. Break even day baby!

We took a lunch time stroll through the back streets of West End and had a little picnic on the front lawn of a friend's house. There is nothing like winter sunshine, pretty flowers, and a certain handsome someone to brighten up a day in the office.

And tonight included dinner at Sings, house-stalking in Bardon, budget writing and a quick trip to Chermside for a preview viewing of Steff's Nov 19 dress.

Today was a VERY GOOD DAY.

Engagement Party Eve

It's the night before our engagement party and I am a bundle of excitement. We spent the day getting all the last minute jobs done - picking up paper cups and printing photos and organising furniture.

We have gorgeous red cake stands waiting for cupcakes in the kitchen and a pile of pretty blankets sitting in our lounge room. And after the boys spent the afternoon moving furniture, I got a text with the caption 'Brid@l bo¥z' and the photo below.

After postponing the party from May to June, we got caught up in the rest of day to day life and kinda forgot the party was coming up. It's only been the past few days that we've realised this is actually happening.

Yes, we're already engaged, but celebrating with family and friends makes it feel all the more real. We've spent all day saying "We're getting 'engagement-partied' tomorrow!" and I just can't wait.

Date Night

We are big lovers of food, but tend to stick to the Asian / Thai side of things. But we may just have found our new favourite restaurant on Friday night - Ortiga.

We ate our way through various parts of the pig (with some beef and squid on the side) and marveled at the waitstaff's ability to not only pronounce all the Spanish names, but also get through the lengthy explanation of what everything was.

And of course, any restaurant that serves complimentary pork crackle to munch on while perusing the menu will instantly win my heart.

But the most important part of date night is the date. I always end up sitting across from the funniest, thoughtful and most handsome guy.

He's a hottie and I will happily eat 'jamones' with him for the rest of my life.
