Five new reasons
2. His good looks are even more apparent than they were on Skype.
3. He is so kind-hearted, so approachable, so loved by his friends and family.
4. He cooks a mean steak. I think I've already mentioned that before, but really, it's amazing.
5. He manages to be my fiance, my fellow Mad Men viewer, my brunch, lunch and dinner buddy, my lolly supplier and my best friend all at once.

Two happy meals, thanks.
Our first meal together as fiancee and fiance, very very late that night.

Engagement Party Planning
And then yesterday, we had our first official engagement party planning session. We had a picnic in the park and Groomzilla got a little overwhelmed with just how amazing this EP is going to be.

Four steps to a perfect proposal
Take your girlfriend on a seemingly 'spur of the moment' drive through the country side. Find the most perfect little corner of Cedar Creek. Pull out a picnic rug and lots of cheese. Look so very handsome as you lie on the picnic rug.
Step Two
Roll up your jeans and jump from rock-to-rock. Find the biggest one and call your girlfriend over. Hold her close and start telling her how special she is to you, and how you'd like to spend the rest of your life having adventures with her.
Step Three
Hold her hand. Take a hop, skip and a jump back to the picnic rug. Get down on one knee and pull out the most beautiful diamond ring. And brace yourself. Many hugs and kisses are coming your way.
Step Four
Spend the next few hours high on love and sunshine. Take lots of photos - you'll want to remember these moments. Give her the background details as to where you hid the ring. Your girlfriend fiance is nosy. And very impressed.
Wait until the sun has all but set, then pack up your picnic gear and go tell the world.
You are getting married.

Friday night at Libertine
We dined and wined our LDR away and I remembered what it was like to eat awkward food (seafood soup with chopsticks!) in a room full of strangers. The ambience was great, the pesky waiter was deservedly attentive and the food was actually fun! It looked good, tasted even better and there were a few tense moments over dessert arguing whether it was mint-and-lychee or mint-and-rambutan sorbet. The pesky waiter sided with Laura and announced that it was mint-and-lychee!
I quite enjoyed being in a crowded room full of people and at the same time getting lost in our own little laura+will bubble. There is something to be said about having a table of good food between us instead of a million miles of optical fibre cable.
Bonne nuit sweet LDR :)

'twas the night before..
Just hours until Will walks through those glass doors at Brisbane Airport and into my arms. My arms will be very excited to cuddle him!
I spent the afternoon with Will's Mum as she helped me decorate his bedroom. I made a paper chain of little things I love about him and found some manly-coloured crepe paper - blue, green and orange.
